If you use our weighted belt product properly, you should begin to enjoy enhanced fitness and health benefits that can last for years. Because of the weight of this item, you will be beginning a physical conditioning program therefore you should consult with your doctor prior to beginning use.
Gradually Increase Usage
A weighted belt is unlike an ordinary belt therefore we suggest that you start by wearing it only an hour or two per day and gradually increase the amount of time worn. For individuals with a history of painful knee or foot problems such as osteoarthritis, we recommend that you do this for a week or more before gradually increasing the time worn. By gradually increasing the wearing time over several weeks, you are giving your body time to strengthen in response to the extra load produced by the belt. If you experience increased knee or foot pain, you may be wearing the Wellness Belt too much each day. In that case we recommend that you reduce the time worn to a level that your body can tolerate. Some individuals may not be able to wear the extra weight all the time, so you may need to experiment to determine the optimal amount of wearing time for your body.
Storage
The best way to store the weighted belt when unused is to lay it flat. Hanging is not recommended, as the material will stretch due to the weight in the belt and internal weights may displace. If that happens, simply reposition it manually.
Osteoporosis Prevention
While wearing your weighted belt, bounce gently on your heels whenever you think of it to enhance the load on your hips. Research has shown that this is an effective method of enhancing the body’s rate of depositing calcium into the bones of the hip.
Advanced Osteoporosis
If you have any concern that you may have advanced osteoporosis of the hips, please consult your medical doctor prior to wearing this device.

Do not allow children or animals to eat or put any part of this product into their mouths. No user-serviceable parts inside. If belt breaks open please do not handle the weights with bare hands. Do NOT dispose of worn out belts into municipal trash landfill. Contact us for recycling instructions. Do not use the product as a dog chew. The weighted belt is not intended for use as a barbell. Do not use the weighted belt as a sexual toy. Do not use as a suicide assistance device. Do not hang yourself with this product.
